Stone 12

This flared bit celt is from Shelby Co., Ill, near the Kaskaskia River, from the collection of B.F. Tate from Cowden, Ill. sold to Mr Williams of Loogootee, Ill., in 1950, purchased from Mr William Smail by Don Lewis in 1965. I got it from him at the Springdale show Feb 2006. It is made of a heavy stone like Hematite, not sure if there is a more specific name for the rock. It is 7 inches long
